Sikhs also commemorate the occasion as "Bandi Chhor Divas" (The Day of Liberation) to mark the day that Guru Hargobind\, the sixth guru\, was freed from wrongful imprisonment\, while he also negotiated the release of 52 Hindu kings. The symbolic significance of the festival is the victory of good over evil\, light over darkness.\n\nWe wish everyone a happy\, festive Diwali may the light within all of us shine bright.
