Presented by the White Rock Museum & Archives in partnership with the BC Black History Awareness Society and the Royal BC Museum, we celebrate the launch of Hope Meets Action: Echoes Through the Black Continuum.

About the Exhibit:

Hope Meets Action shares the compelling story of Afro-diasporic history in British Columbia—past, present, and future. This exhibit uncovers powerful stories of Black belonging that have often been overlooked, offering a narrative curated and told by the Black community for the first time. Through its impactful storytelling, the exhibit invites guests to reflect on the living history of Black communities, set against the backdrop of colonial history.

Event Details:

• Registration Starts at 5:00 PM – Upon arrival, guests will have the opportunity to participate in an exciting scavenger hunt, with door prizes valued at $150 provided by the White Rock Museum!
• Catering – Delicious food will be served by Sheila's Catering Co. across the street at The Marine Room. Guests can enjoy food and beverages there and take in the beautiful sunset views.
• Exhibit Tour – After enjoying the food and refreshments at The Marine Room, guests are welcome to visit the White Rock Museum (located directly across the street) to experience the exhibit at their leisure throughout the evening.
